As I delve into in my forthcoming book, “Novelty and Empathy”, I contend that groundbreaking technologies must adhere to universal principles of empathy towards both the user and society at large in order to achieve long-term acceptance and widespread adoption. I believe AI's current focus is primarily on the individual user rather than the broader societal implications. Additionally, there's a lack of transparency around its development and use.
